Working visit to the Yulin University in the Shanxi region of the People’s Republic of China
The staff of the IET TSUC in Khujand and the Head of the Department of Investments and State Property Management of the Sughd Regional Executive Authority – Akhmedov Sharifjon Nasimjonovich – made a working visit to Yulin University in the Shanxi region of the People’s Republic of China.
Yulin University is one of the most prestigious universities in the Shanxi region. It is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The mother of the President of the People’s Republic of China – Xi Jinping – worked as a teacher and educated many students at this university. IET TSUC signed a cooperation agreement with this university, and within the framework of this special visit they held an intercity cooperation forum with Khujand (Sughd region) and Yulin (Shansi region).
At this forum, the Head of the Department of Investments and State Property Management of Sughd Region Executive Authority – Akhmedov Sharifjon Nasimjonovich spoke on the topic “Trade and Investment Opportunities and Economic Potential of the Sughd Region”.
In his opening speech, the Director of IET – Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan talked about the necessity and establishment of partnership between regions and universities and the establishment of cooperation in the field of education and promotion of science and technology.
A presentation on “Socio-economic aspects of development in Tajikistan” was given by Mirpochoev Dalerjon, Deputy Director of IET TSUC. During the event, the delegation visited several facilities, laboratories and innovation centres of Yulin University.
It should be noted that the IET is always keen to develop international relations. In this way it strengthens cooperation in science, education and innovation with the world’s leading universities.
